The on-demand transportation coordinator supervises a staff of primarily student drivers and dispatchers responsible for the efficient and courteous operation of campus on-demand transportation services, consisting of Kentucky Wildcab, the University's late-night student on-demand transportation services, and the on-campus overnight on-demand shuttle service.
The coordinator must have strong leadership and communication skills, particularly as it relates to managing student workers and interfacing with student and employee clientele. In addition the coordinator must be comfortable with technology and have the ability to quickly resolve minor technical issues associated with smart phone based automated ride-request and dispatch services. The coordinator must have strong customer service focus and a commitment to safety, be innovative and able to resolve day to day operational challenges and enforce standard operating procedures, as well as standards of behavior and appearance. The coordinator must be capable of ongoing assessment through regular employee feedback as well as the analysis of programmatic data to assess performance, identify and resolve critical issues and prepare periodic reports for various stake holders.
The coordinator must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. A commercial driver's license with passenger endorsement is preferred but not required. The coordinator must be capable of working a variety of shifts including some nights and weekends.
