Description:
The objective of this position is responsibility for the department's enrollment and student services experience to emphasize high caliber customer service and communications.

Campus Location: Boston Campus

Required Knowledge:
Bachelor’s degree/Associate’s or comparable work experience. Critical thinking and analytical skills to proactively identify potential issues and resolve problems. Adaptive to change. Ability to identify and suggest new approaches to processes and services. Customer-oriented focus. Ability and confidence to exercise independent judgment and seek input from appropriate stakeholders as needed. Organizational skills and ability to prioritize and maintain confidentiality. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Detail-oriented and consistent follow-through.
Facility with Banner (or willingness to do the training,) and with assorted system software products, including Microsoft Excel.

Preferred/Desirable Knowledge:
Degree in communication, arts, or liberal arts preferred. Graduate-level coursework preferred.

Required Prior Work Experience:
Prior experience in customer service and office/administrative experience.

Job Duties:
  • Responsible for all Professional Studies Student Registration & Records (to include non-credit courses, non-matriculated summer school enrollment, summer discovery, pre-college programs, & Emerson employee tuition waivers). Exercises independent judgment and critical thinking to prevent potential issues and resolve problems with appropriate stakeholders. Communicate with other departments on occasion concerning student and/or faculty issues. Computer/data entry and database maintenance. Issuance of certificates for non-credit and pre-college students
  • Manages, updates, and monitors the TouchNet MarketPlace storefront for student online course registration and payments; Communicates regularly with Student Accounts on billing and allocation of registration revenue
  • Inquiry management and student services - assisting prospective students, current students, and alumni. Tracking inbound and outbound communication interactions via the Slate CRM system
  • Social media content generation in collaboration with the Associate Director of Business Development’s marketing strategy
  • Supporting the Assistant Director of Pre-College Programs with student management during the application process. Managing the collection and sorting of all post-deposit Pre College student forms.
  • Answering the primary department phone line and monitoring the email account for the PSSP department; Answering questions or directing parties to the appropriate PSSP staff member based on need
  • Ordering office supplies, equipment & maintaining inventory
