Assistant or Associate Professor - Health Promotion and Education
The Department of Health Sciences (HCS) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position as an Assistant or Associate Professor in Health Promotion and Education beginning August 16, 2018.
Qualifications: Applicants must have an earned doctorate in Health Promotion and Education or closely related field. Applicants with expected completion of their doctoral degree before May 1, 2019, will be considered. Higher education teaching experience and health promotion/education work experience is required. Candidates must be able to demonstrate oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position, as mandated by state law. Candidates will be expected to provide excellent teaching in undergraduate professional preparation courses, develop a focused area of research, including publication in refereed journals, and provide service to the campus and professional communities. For consideration at the associate level, applicants should have an appropriate record of teaching excellence and scholarship.
Salary, Rank and Tenure: The position is a nine-month, probationary tenure-track position. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
