Department of Athletics - Equipment


Responsible for functioning as Equipment Manager for a minimum of 4 of the following sports teams: Cross Country, Swimming & Diving, Tennis, Track & Field, Beach Volleyball, and Indoor Volleyball. Assist with all game day and practice operations to include locker room and other facilities. Organize at home and on-the-road transportation and inventory of necessary game equipment for assigned teams. Assist with cleaning of team uniforms, practice apparel, and other materials for assigned teams. Coordinate arrangements for visiting teams with regard to use of facility and accommodations to include food and laundry. Responsible for knowledge and interpretation all of NCAA safety/compliance rules pertaining to equipment and issuing of equipment.
Responsible for all Nike orders for assigned teams. Assist in handling all incoming shipments and managing all inventory with proper documentation. Responsible for the process of evaluating the condition of equipment and certifying that each item meets the minimum safety standards governed by the national organization. Implement and maintain a program for tracking and supervising the repair and maintenance of all equipment. Monitor daily operations of assigned Equipment Room(s).
Supervises the activities of the Athletic Equipment Room and Locker Room Attendants, student managers, and student assistants to include scheduling hours, assigning work, and recommend personnel actions.
Ensures all necessary and required equipment are stored and attainable before and after every team travel. Responsible for completing proper documentation for equipment inventory related to travel. Other duties as assigned.


A Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience; or a combination of post high school education and relevant experience equal to six years.
Experience working at the collegiate level with practice and game day preparation of setting up equipment and stations.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to include availability for early morning hours, evening hours, and weekends.
Knowledge of related NCAA policies and procedures.

Pay Plan

This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
