Responsibilities

Assist with grounds maintenance around buildings and campus areas; operate mowers, edgers, tractors and weed trimmers to maintain lawn areas, plants, trees, roadways, parking areas, and fencing; assist with custodial duties such as stripping, buffing, waxing floors; assist with set-ups and break-downs for indoor/outdoor special events and functions.

Qualifications

Completion of the ninth grade or above education with preferably at least one year of experience in general buildings and grounds maintenance.
Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position.
Ability to operate standard grounds and buildings equipment and machinery.
Ability to drive motorized lawn tractors and other grounds vehicles; good customer service skills.
Ability to follow both oral and written instructions.

Anticipated Salary Range

Department expects to pay between $10.00 and $10.50 per hour dependent on experience.

Pay Plan

This is an OPS/temporary Job.

Schedule

This position is scheduled for M-F at 29 hours per week with occasional opportunity for more than scheduled hours.
