Assist Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) Supervisors with managing staff for a variety of CAPI studies for the University of Wisconsin Survey Center (UWSC). CAPI interviewers and field staff are charged with the task of administering interviews to respondents in their homes and in institutional settings. Projects in 2017 include the CalYouth study, an evaluation of the impact of the California Fostering Connections to Success Act on outcomes during the transition to adulthood for foster youth, the Wisconsin Families Study, an evaluation of Project GAIN, a program in Milwaukee County funded by the Wisconsin Children?s Trust Fund to assist families in accessing economic resources, and others.
The Office Operations Associate will act as a Lead Worker and assistant to the CAPI Supervisor for all CAPI projects. This position is responsible for assisting the CAPI Supervisor in overseeing CAPI and field staff conducting social science research. Duties include conducting quality control by listening to audio recordings of interviews, evaluating interviewer adherence to study protocols, deliver feedback to staff, and notify CAPI Supervisors of trend errors. This position is also responsible for conducting notes review for all studies to insure that project guidelines are being met. The position is additionally responsible for trouble-shooting questions from staff about project protocols, for processing time sheets and expense reports for staff, packaging and mailing materials to staff, and other administrative tasks.
This position reports to the Field Director, Steve Coombs. Position scheduled mostly days but may require some evening work during week-long project trainings.
