Clark University’s Information Technology Services (ITS) seeks to fill the position of Endpoint Administrator. Reporting to the Manager of Endpoint Systems Administration, the successful candidate will provide on-site and in-house technical support for hardware, software and configuration issues related to end-user computing technology and provide second- and third-tier support to resolve faculty, staff and student technology issues. Duties and Responsibilities Included in a range of responsibilities, the Endpoint Administrator will maintain hardware and software for all Clark-owned end-user computing equipment with a focus on computing in public spaces (labs, classrooms, kiosks); will inventory, prepare, and validate computer hardware and associated peripherals and deploy computing resources to public computing spaces (i.e. labs, kiosks, classrooms) and assist ITS Help Desk with deployment of personal computing devices during in peak times as needed. The Endpoint Administrator will manage specific applications in support of end-user computing, including but not limited to, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, Microsoft System Center, and FileWave and will facilitate the ordering of parts and processing of warranty RMAs for the replacement of defective parts with supported vendors. In addition, the Endpoint Administrator will assist in the hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation of student intern staff. They will maintain currency with issues related to virus and malware prevention, protection, and recovery; work with Manager of Endpoint Systems Administration on the implementation of policies and desktop security; and provide excellent customer service to all members of the Clark University community as to maintain and improve user satisfaction, as well as other duties as assigned. Qualifications The successful candidate will have 3+ years’ experience and a bachelor’s degree in CS or related field (additional work experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement). The candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to establish effective collaborative working relationships at all levels of the University and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate must be detail oriented with excellent customer service and problem-solving skills, a high degree of integrity, the ability to work concurrently on multiple tasks and projects and the ability to communicate progress/problems to appropriate personnel effectively. The candidate must have the ability to physically move and install computers, printers, and peripherals in locations that may not have an elevator and the ability to work nights and weekends on an as-needed basis. Technical qualifications include expert knowledge of current versions of Windows, MS Office including the use of Outlook/Exchange in a networked environment, as well as basic knowledge of PC and MAC hardware/configuration issues. Candidate will have a demonstrated ability to effectively diagnose and resolve hardware issues; expert understanding of the inner workings of PC and related hardware along with the ability to configure office productivity software, such as MS Office, virus protection software and e-mail clients. This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, 12-month position with excellent benefits, which include employee and family tuition benefits, 4 weeks’ vacation, generous retirement plan, free use of campus fitness center and many more.
