Job Summary/Basic Function: Serves as the primary contact for prospective students and their families, high school counselors, and community college staff. Responsible for follow up with inquiries and applicants by performing preliminary evaluations of transfer credit for incoming transfer students. Represent the university at recruitment events.
Work Hours: Schedules vary per needs of department. May require some evening and weekend hours.

Counsels prospective students on all aspects of the admissions and transfer process. Coordinates and implement the recruitment plan including scheduling and reporting on recruitment visits/events. Plans and executes recruitment event programming both on and off-campus. Assists and encourages prospective students through the application process. Performs preliminary degree evaluations of transfer credit for incoming transfer students. Utilizes Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) to communicate and enter all prospective student information. Counsels prospective students on the phone, e-mail, and in person. Follows directives regarding strategic planning and recruitment strategies. Represent the university at high school visits, community college visits, military installations, transfer fairs, college fairs, and other college recruitment events.
Works collaboratively with on-campus partners in order to further the mission of the Office of Admissions. This includes collaborating with academic departments to promote academic programs by coordinating program specific recruitment events, financial assistance/admission application workshops, and military student recruitment programming to increase new student enrollment.
Assists the Director develop and implement effective communication processes with prospective students, applicants and parents. Follows the established communication process.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Necessary Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration/Students Affairs or related field.
Necessary Qualifications: One year of admissions, recruiting or other related higher education experience. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite and standard office equipment. Demonstrated experience in preparing and conducting presentations. Experience in assisting or counseling students. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to multi-task. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills. Displays professional demeanor and promotes a positive attitude. Ability to communicate with parents and students from diverse social, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds. Experience in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Two years of higher education experience. Admissions experience in recruiting/transfer advising or financial aid. Experience working with students on a university or college campus as an orientation, peer advisor, or resident assistant. Bilingual (Spanish). Demonstrated advanced experience using Microsoft Suite and client databases.

Must provide reliable transportation and be able to relocate recruitment materials of up to 50 pounds to and from vehicle and work sites. May work in all weather conditions.
