The Analyst Programmer I will provide database creation, management, extraction, and analysis support to ongoing and new projects within the Center for Health Policy
  • Design, maintain, and clean databases
  • Maintain close communication with data entry staff in multiple countries
  • Develop analysis data sets from complex, relational, confidential databases
  • Document databases, methodologies, models and software
  • Interact with project team and partners to access data and program
  • Work with research team on analysis and evaluation

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Work requires a Bachelor's degree in mathematics or computer-related field, or equivalent coursework or technical training.

Experience

Work requires one year of programming or analytical experience with knowledge of several computer languages, programs or systems. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or Bachelor#s degree with 2+ years relevant
  • Experience with design and manipulation of relational databases
  • Advanced Stata programming skills
  • Some background in statistical methods for analysis of observational
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with local and international partners
  • Ability to work independently and seek guidance when appropriate
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience with Visual Basic, Access, and MySql as well as programming ACASI and PDA-based data collection a plus
