To efficiently and effectively understand, analyze and alert key stakeholders of suspicious and/or fraudulent activity across Academic and Financial applications and processes. This role is responsible for ensuring that suspicious electronic account activity and/or transactions are rigorously investigated.

  • Independently develop, implement and manage processes to identify, investigate, and mitigate internal and external fraudulent behavior
  • Proactively identify and review electronic account and transaction data for suspicious activity and potential fraud
  • Investigate and resolve irregular transactions reported by end-users or automated alerting
  • Work with key business stake holders to investigate suspicious or fraudulent activity
  • Track the status of suspicious or anomalous activity and brief IT management on issues that pose a risk to the University
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience that specifically prepare the candidate for success in this position

Certificates, licenses and registrations:
  • None

Work Experience:
  • 1-3 years of IT experience with focus on customer service, support, data analysis and research

  • Strong analytical skills applied to understanding business processes in order to identify potential key indicators of fraud
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates the capacity to manage changing priorities and ambiguity while remaining calm and controlled
  • Proficient in Splunk search language
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft Suite of Solutions (CS & CRM)
  • Knowledge of and ability to use Linux
  • Demonstrated ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Experience acting as the liaison between business and IT staff
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
