Bachelor's degree required
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
A minimum of five (5) years of experience and expert knowledge working in the financial aid industry is required. Familiarity with issues in financial aid legislation, student eligibility, and experience with PeopleSoft is preferred. Must have strong organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively. Successful candidates will also possess strong technical and analytical skills and the ability to analyze and solve issues within a student information system.
The Processing and Awarding Manager oversees the successful packaging of students' awards within the Federal Awards unit of the Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA). This position serves as a connection between the Federal Awards, Special Awards, and Systems units within OSFA and requires critical thinking and problem solving skills to resolve issues within a variety of information systems. This position is responsible for interpreting data and available federal, state, and institutional funds to set packaging parameters to award student aid applicants.
