Temporary Administrative Support Associate

Will be responsible for coordinating the Latino Community Coalition of Guilford (LCCG) meetings including inviting guest speakers, securing the location for the meetings, and documenting meeting minutes. Will provide assistance in expediting fundraisers, trainings, forums, and other events, and assist to organize and coordinate the following programs: youth mentorship/leadership development, DACA in the Workplace forum, Latina Women on Board, Latino Men On Board, and the Notable Latinos of the Triad signature gala event. Will maintain web and social media presence and communication for the LCCG.
Will perform a variety of Internet research functions and use word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software. May assist with overflow work from administrative and executive assistants.

Will work with internal and external parties to organize the various components needed to initiate, run and conclude projects. Duties will include coordinating schedules and activities, placing orders for supplies and services, and tracking progress and results.

Minimum Qualifications


Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in an office setting preferred. Experienced administrative professional who is dependable, attentive to detail, and highly organized with business maturity, discretion, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude. Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish languages. Technologically literate with strong computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel and other commonly used software. Good internet skills, including use of e-mail programs, social media skills, and group messaging. Good organizational skills and record keeping. Cheerful presence and people skills. Self-starter who can work independently. Skill in establishing priorities and managing workload. Ability to follow directions.

The Latino Community Coalition of Guilford (LCCG) is an initiative under the sponsorship of the UNCG-Center for New North Carolinians located on the UNCG campus. Its mission is to strengthen and support the Latino Community in Guilford by promoting advocacy and education through a collaborative and empowered network. Candidates must be bilingual Spanish-English, written and verbal fluency.
