Counselor/Trainer, Employee Assistance Wellness -#603325

Northern Arizona University’s office of Employee Assistance Wellness is seeking a full time Counselor/Trainer. The Office of Employee Assistance and Wellness (EAW) provides counseling, consultation, critical incident response, conflict management, training, organizational support, health screenings, and other health and wellness services to NAU faculty and staff and their family members. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of five professionals:  psychologists, a health educator, and an administrative associate. The mission of the office is to provide opportunities to promote and enhance individual and organizational well-being for NAU faculty and staff. The successful candidate will possess a high level of emotional intelligence and excellent interpersonal skills, will be self-motivated, committed to excellence, and skillful in counseling and training. The successful candidate will also have knowledge of and interest in consultation (such as assessing workplace needs or problems, and providing coaching/support to individuals and departments). The counselor/trainer will work with a wide range of individuals as a clinical generalist, trainer and organizational consultant. Importantly, the candidate selected must be committed to embracing a wellness focus in all aspects of the position, and be motivated to work in a collaborative environment. Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, or social work and currently licensed, or license eligible as an LPC, LMFT, LCSW in Arizona, and five (5) years counseling/clinical experience and three (3) years of training experience (experience developing, presenting and training on a variety of mental/behavioral health and wellness related topics) along with experience with critical incident response services and knowledge of and interest in consultation.

Annual Salary: Commensurate with experience.
