Position Summary

Full time position serving as a customer service representative both in person and over the phone for Counseling and Psychiatric Services within Student Health and Wellness.   Typical duties of successful candidate include scheduling appointments, greeting visitors, checking in patients  to clinics, verifying medical insurance coverage and coordinating referrals.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge normally acquired through a high school education; six months to one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in a medical or mental health office setting; experience with medical terminology, electronic medical records and patient scheduling systems; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Desired Qualifications

Completion of a healthcare assistant certificate or college course work in a health care related field or business. Extensive knowledge of computer software including Microsoft products, Outlook email and calendar functions, and patient scheduling software. Critical decision making skills while under stress. Excellent interpersonal skills needed to schedule appointments and check in patients upon arrival and interact with provider staff.

Clinic Hours of operation are 8 AM - 6 PM Monday thru Thursday. 8 AM - 5 PM Friday
