New York University (NYU) seeks applications and nominations for the Dean of the Leonard N. Stern School of Business. NYU has experienced a remarkable and unprecedented trajectory and has outstanding new leadership in President Andrew Hamilton and Provost Katherine E. Fleming. NYU has established itself as a global university. With degree-granting campuses in New York, Abu Dhabi, and Shanghai, and with 11 additional global academic centers on six continents, NYU is poised to continue its extraordinary progress. NYU Stern is essential to that journey.
The vision of the Leonard N. Stern School of Business is to develop people and ideas that transform 21st century problems into opportunities to create value for business and society alike. Aligning Stern to this vision in a rapidly changing global economy are its creative new initiatives, internationally-renowned faculty, industry hubs in New York City, its leading role in undergraduate business education, and NYU’s global connections and presence.
The next Dean of the Stern School of Business will assume leadership at a critical point in its evolution. The Dean will be both a champion for Stern and a strong collaborator within the University, and should demonstrate a track record of effective leadership within large and complex organizations. The Dean should hold academic credentials and a record of scholarly achievement that merit the rank of tenured Professor at the Stern School of Business and/or a recognized career of achievement in business.
