Usual Duties: Works on a nationally highlighted Homeland Security project, funded by the National Institute of Health (NIH) and the U.S. Army, on developing therapeutic agents to treat cyanide intoxication. Works under the direction of the Project Director. Performs specific duties pertaining to research activities, special projects, and educational programs. Provides advanced professional work which may require the development of new or improved techniques and procedures with latitude for independent action and decision.
Other Requirements for the Position: Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacy or related field. No postdoctoral experience required. Experience working on programs/projects related to academic discipline while obtaining Ph.D. would be helpful. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
