The University of Virginia Cancer Center seeks a highly motivated and engaged employee to assist with the growing needs of the administrative team. The incumbent will provide administrative support to the Associate Director for Clinical Research and other leaders within the Clinical Trials Infrastructure offices.
The position will assist multiple individuals and responsibilities include calendar management, scheduling, event support, and provide excellent customer service to all Cancer Center guests and visitors.
This position is restricted and contingent upon continuation of funding.
The UVa Cancer Center is a dynamic workplace with highly engaged employees. Qualified candidate must have a High School diploma or equivalent. A Bachelor's degree is preferred and may substitute for years of experience. A minimum of two years of administrative experience in an office environment, healthcare setting, and/or academic research environment, as well as experience assisting high profile executives with clinical and academic backgrounds is required.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Ability to work with a team.
2. Working knowledge of proper telephone protocol, maintenance of office calendar, excellent organizational and time management skills.
3. Ability to apply critical thinking and proactive problem solving skills.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
