Department Summary: Bridgewater State University is emerging as a leader in student success due to campus-wide commitment and effort. The Division of Student Success and Diversity partners with faculty/librarians, staff, and students in order to identify, implement and assess strategies to close achievement and opportunity gaps.

Position Summary: The Assistant Director of Male Student Success Interventions and FAM for Change is an essential team member of the Division of Student Success and Diversity. The Assistant Director is responsible for the development and administration of BSU's male student success interventions and administration of the FAM for Change Program, a college readiness mentoring program.

Essential Duties: 1. Collaborate with inter-divisional campus and external personnel to develop and implement data-informed male student success interventions including: identification of data-informed best practices associated with closing male achievement gaps in higher education; inter-divisional collaboration in implementing interventions; assessment of effectiveness of interventions. 2. Lead the FAM for Change program, a college readiness mentoring program, including: developing and implementing mentor recruitment plans, mentor professional development plans and training sessions; creating and implementing strategies to support the student success of the mentors; developing and conducting all program activities. 3. Manage programs' budgets. 4. Develop social media and print communication strategies to support programs. 5. Develop policies and procedures for the management of the programs. 6. Participate on inter-divisional committees and work groups focusing on providing data-informed student success interventions intended to close achievement and opportunity gaps. 7. Other duties as assigned by the Vice President. Some evening and weekend hours are required.

Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree * Three years' experience (or its equivalency) working in student success programs * Experience working in college readiness programs * Demonstrated commitment to a broad and intersectional definition of diversity * Experience working with racially, ethnically and socioeconomically diverse students * Strong organizational skills, program management and leadership abilities * Ability to use basic and some advanced functions of Window operating system, the internet and web based forms * Strong collaboration, oral and written communication skills * Student success oriented service provision skills

Preferred Qualifications: * Master's Degree in a related field such as Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or Education * Experience leading higher education male student success programs/interventions * Experience leading college readiness programs * Experience conducting program assessment

Salary Range: $55,000 to $60,000
