Assistant Professor of Management

The Business School at the University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver) has openings for two full- time tenure track Assistant Professor positions in Management-one macro oriented and one micro. We seek candidates with a deep commitment to research and teaching in any of the management sub-disciplines, including Strategic Management, Organization and Management Theory, Human Resources Management and Organizational Behavior.

The Management area has a vibrant research faculty, including past officers of the Academy of Management. The full-time tenure track faculty in Management include: Ken Bettenhausen, Wayne Cascio, David Chandler, Vinit Desai, Kyle Ehrhardt, Marlena Fiol (emeritus), Blair Gifford, Sarah Kovoor-Misra, Kelly See, and Traci Sitzmann. The Management Program supports the MBA program and offers an MS in Management with 10 distinct specializations and the BSBA emphases in Management and HRM. We are the only university in the state to offer SHRM's certified HRM curriculum in the BS, MS and MBA programs.

Job Responsibilities:

The faculty member is expected to maintain a track record of high quality peer-reviewed published academic research in his/her field and will teach 4 courses (3 hours each) during a 9-month appointment.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:




Required qualifications for the position include a Ph.D. in Management or related field from an AACSB accredited (or equivalent) university. Applicants' application materials must demonstrate potential for excellence in research and potential for excellence in teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels as assessed by the recruiting committee.

Preferred Qualifications:




Demonstrated excellence in research, as evidenced by publications in refereed journals, or demonstrated excellence in teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level, as supported by student course evaluations.
