Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

Plans and coordinates administrative functions for the Office of Diversity, Inclusion and community Engagement (chief diversity officer and senior associate provost for inclusion). Manages and coordinates a wide range of projects and programs for the Office in addition to coordinating/assisting with award/grant applications and annual reporting.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Bachelor's degree and 5 years related experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services; or equivalency.

Preferred Qualifications Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Strong project management skills and the knowledge/ability to document business processes; excellent verbal, written and oral communications skills; ability to maintain flexibility and a professional image while providing leadership to the Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Community Engagement and the Office of the Provost under what are often stressful conditions, deadlines and constant changing schedules; ability to exercise a high level of confidentiality and independent initiative and judgement; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; and, understanding of MS Excel and the ability to manipulate data for reporting purposes; well organized and able to coordinate the activities of an academic administrative office/service organization.
