Advertised Job Summary
Will serve as departmental business manager and will manage all departmental financial matters, including oversight of all departmental funds, ensuring payments are properly applied, tracking account expenses for all foundation accounts within the department, and bill foundation accounts as necessary. The business manager will also supervise the maintenance of fiscal records, request set-up of new accounts, and prepare monthly budgetary reports for all investigators, in addition to serving as grants administrator for the department.Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
Master's degree and 1 year related experience in business, public administration or administrative services, or bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience; or equivalency.
Valid SC driver's license requiredPreferred Qualifications
At least 4 years' experience in federal grant management. Experience with People Soft Accounting Systems as purchased and designed by USC. Experience with University policies and procedures. Prefer experience with Microsoft Office and have experience creating complex worksheets in Excel.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of office management policies, practices and procedures required. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks required. Ability to deal effectively with the public, faculty, staff, and students in handling inquiries and communicating information. Required to conduct business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures and regulations.
