Position Overview

Coordinate the design and production of specific marketing activities, programs, and materials on brochures, press releases or on website. Work with cross-functional teams to design and execute projects. Create specifications for events, printed/online materials. Draft copy and designs for review. Use technology to design, produce, and distribute content. Use data to evaluate and report on the effectiveness of marketing tactics.

Department Specific Essential Job Functions

Creates content and writes copy for communication plans and uses graphics that reinforce the message and mission of OGA .

Develops, executes, manages and oversees Constituent Relationship Management ( CRM ) activities for Global Affairs including marketing programs, strategies and campaign management.

Work with the Global Affairs Marketing team to evaluate application through enrollment status

Liaise with all relevant stakeholders, to review processes within OGA.

Ensures CRM system is operating properly and performing as required.

Creates and modifies screens in the CRM to improve the business processes and work-flows in OGA; creates and modifies reports on a regular basis.

Consults with and advises the OGA team on customer and marketing history data, campaign audiences, and best approach to achieving marketing goals during the campaign planning process.

Provides one-on-one training as necessary.

Solves student application challenges and issues.

Provides input and supervises the website so that it relates to ease of use to prospective and continuing students using Web Content Management System

Coordinates social media campaign for Office of Global Affairs including, but not limited to social network initiatives, social news participation, blog development, blogger outreach, keyword optimization, press release optimization and mobile device marketing.

Tracks and monitors the success of on-line initiatives (i.e. impressions, reach and influence), and provides reports to OGA leadership.

Identifies and reports on digital/social media trends to the OGA leadership.

Stays current on technology trends as they pertain to CRM and how it may be used for promotion and marketing to prospective students.

Qualifications/Experience Required

Requires a university degree in related field or 4+ years of equivalent work experience in chosen filed that provides knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts. Requires the application of expertise in a chosen field to achieve results.

Qualifications/Experience Preferred

Demonstrated command of the English language as it pertains to digital media and on-line publications.

Understanding of international cultural differences to provide an excellent user experience through all forms of communication.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Demonstrated professional communication both written and oral. Proficient with the Microsoft office suite, including Excel, Outlook and Word. Knowledge of several social media platforms and utilization. Creative abilities as it relates to promotions and marketing of the office of Global Affairs. Ability to write effective and concise marketing messages.

Physical Demands

Repetitive movement of hands and fingers, typing and/or writing. Frequent standing, and/or sitting. Occasional walking, stooping, kneeling or crouching. Reach with hands and arms. Visually identify, observe and assess. Ability to communicate with supervisor/students/colleagues. Regular physical attendance required.
