Family Partner for MA Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative
The Western MA Training Consortium has a 30-40 hour/week position available serving as a Family Partner in Franklin County for the MA Children's Behavioral Health Initiative. Office will be located in Greenfield.
The Family Partner works directly with families/parents providing support, training, and empowering the parents to be their child's own advocate. This program and position follows the principles of 'Wraparound'. Qualifications: you must be or have been a parent or guardian of a child who has or had mental health or behavioral challenges, working knowledge of Franklin County family support resources, demonstrated experience working as a team member, ability to complete detailed documentation and narrative reports. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred but related work/life experience may be considered as partial substitution; and at least 2 years' experience working with children, adolescents, or transition age youth is necessary. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required. Excellent benefits. AA/EOE

The Western Massachusetts Training Consortium was born during the tumultuous era of de-institutionalization. The Consortium is a place where the voices of people with disabilities are sought and heard and the building blocks of community life are put into place.
The Consortium works throughout the four counties of Western Massachusetts as well as on state and national stages. Founded in 1975 to prepare professionals for the movement of people with disabilities into communities, The Consortium is organized around three themes -education, advocacy and service.
