ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE: $39,960 - $56,947, Band 06, SC State Classification System
In this challenging role, you will support the OIT Department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following:
-Consults with end-users for the purpose of designing and developing specifications for our ERP applications. Determines how to best meet end-users' needs with ERP applications and works as a project lead with other analysts. Consults with third party vendors when our application needs to interface with theirs and designs the interface according to their specifications.
-Reviews all current processes that are executed in the student information system and determine if they can be streamlined by modifying the program or procedure. Works with end-users to determine the best method and trains end-users when necessary.
-Through the process of analyzing specifications developed by the IT Manager, writes, tests, debugs, documents, and implements moderate to complex programs.
-Analyzes, designs, tests, and implements new applications for enhancing the college's overall management information system. Evaluates and makes recommendations on suggested modifications for enhancing existing applications.
-Prepares end-user documentation and training when necessary.
-Prepares documentation and run procedures for the operations personnel. Provides technical assistance to operations.
-Provides timely project status reports to management.

A high school diploma and 5 yrs. work experience in the modification and maintenance of system programs, the design and development of system software, or the testing and debugging of system software; or, an associate's degree in a related field and 3 years work experience in modification and maintenance of system programs, the design and development of system software, or the testing and debugging of system software; or, a bachelor's degree in a related field and 1 years work experience in modification and maintenance of system programs, the design and development of system software, or the testing and debugging of system software .
-Bachelor's degree in computer science and 1 year of programming experience.
-Logic and analytical skills.
-Knowledge and experience working with the modification of applications in a Unix environment and relational databases (i.e. Oracle, MS SQL).
