Nursing Program Clinical Lab Coordinator

The Department of Nursing at Dutchess Community College invites applications for a clinical coordinator position in Nursing. This opening is a professional support staff position with an expected start date in August of 2017.

The Nursing Program Clinical Lab Coordinator is responsible for monitoring all clinical sites for nursing courses and student experiences in coordination with the Course Lead Teachers and Department Head of Nursing.

Qualifications include an earned Bachelor's degree in Nursing, a license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. An Associate degree in Nursing may be considered. The individual is to be self-directed with strong organizational and communication skills. Strong technological skills a plus. Preference will be given to an individual familiar with the area's health care institutions.

Key responsibilities include: ensuring health clearance and orientation requirements, maintaining mandatory orientation materials, assisting adjunct faculty with clinical and in-house experiences, assuring all paperwork for students and clinical agencies are processed as required, and collaborating with faculty and lab assistants.
