Illinois State University, School of Teaching and Learning, is pleased to announce a nine-month, tenure-track position in Elementary Education with a specialization in Reading at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor. The appointment will commence on August 16, 2018. The primary assignment will be teaching undergraduate courses with the potential to teach graduate courses. The candidate should possess experience working in collaborative partnerships with public school professionals and demonstrate the willingness to develop related skills. The candidate is expected to maintain a consistent record of high quality scholarship.

Required Qualifications:

  • Terminal degree or ABD in a relevant field with a completion date prior to August 16, 2018
  • Minimum of three years teaching experience in 1st through 6th grades
  • Demonstrated potential for scholarly research working in elementary school settings, and/or with undergraduate and/or graduate students
  • Expertise in reading, reading assessment, or literacy coaching
  •
