Educational and Experience Requirement: High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent. College or continued education courses in accounting desired. Experience as a teller, customer service representative, accountant, or other related field is desired. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Primary Responsibilities: Receives monetary items for payment of various accounts due. Receives and processes interdepartmental deposits. Cashes checks for students, faculty, and staff. Produces receipts, reconciles cash drawer, and prepares bank deposits daily. Produces invoices for external entities. Processes exemptions, waivers, and external scholarships. Analyzes financial accounts and communicates those findings. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Other Specifications: Proficiency with a calculator and other standard office machines. Must be able to operate a 10 key adding machine, preferably by touch. Accuracy in counting and balancing monies and in maintaining records. Must have a pleasant, courteous disposition and possess the ability to work effectively with a high‑volume of public contact. Errors in business transactions could cause significant loss of monies, time, etc. Special procedures sometimes require extended hours. Working overtime on some evenings and weekends will be required.
