Operating under Northeastern University Health and Counseling Services (UHCS) and Athletic Training, this position delivers athletic training services to all NCAA Division-I intercollegiate athletes at Northeastern University who compete in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) and Hockey East and report to the Director of Sports Performance.

This position is expected to manage potentially catastrophic, acute, and chronic athletic injuries within the scope of practice for athletic training, to include rehabilitation and return-to-play decisions. In addition, athletic trainers are expected to collaborate with strength and conditioning coaches, team physicians, sports medicine fellows, athletic training students, physical therapy residents, and other clinical students associated with Sports Performance and UHCS.


Required Qualifications
- BOC Certified (or eligible)
- Massachusetts Licensed Athletic Trainer (or eligible)
- Master’s degree from an accredited educational institution

Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of continuing education courses relevant to advanced rehabilitation and performance training methodology
- Prior experience with manual therapy and movement assessments
- Experience collaborating with strength and conditioning coaches for exercise prescription and rehabilitation needs
- Current strength and conditioning certification from either the NSCA or NASM
