The Assistant Director of Boston Pathway Programs reports to the Senior Assistant Dean and serves as the primary administrator of the Global Pathways and American Classroom programs. This position provides oversight of program operations, customer service, budget and enrollment management, program quality and improvement, and marketing/communications. . The primary focus of this position is to provide outstanding oversight over the day-to-day operational processes to support the long-term programmatic vision of Global Pathways and American Classroom programs.

Responsibilities include analyzing and forecasting enrollment and payroll data to ensure that revenue and expense targets are met. This position is responsible for ensuring that the programs in their portfolio are successfully scheduled, staffed, and delivered to meet student satisfaction. As a member of the leadership team, the Assistant Director will coach and assist others in resolving complex issues related to student complaints, payroll, and faculty. S/he will serve as the lead for new projects and initiatives related to program management and will document and improve current processes to reduce errors and improve responsiveness. This position will oversee the coordination of faculty and staff hiring and on-boarding. S/he will have a high level of skills in academic operations, project management, analyzing data, customer service, and students and faculty support.


Bachelor’s degree and 4 - 6 years operational/management experience; preferably in higher education and with adult learners or in a high customer service environment. Master’s degree preferred. Ability to meet timelines, deliverables, and exercise independent judgment. Strong leadership and effective communication skills are a must. Must be able to work well with many constituents: students, faculty, academic managers, and program offices from deans to support staff. Teamwork and strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; and ability to understand and design operational processes are required. Coaching experience desirable. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required. Experience using PeopleAdmin and Banner a plus.
