Job Summary:  
Gettysburg College invites applications for a tenure-track position in Public Policy. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a variety of introductory and advanced courses in the interdisciplinary Public Policy major and fields of their expertise. The candidate will have the opportunity, working with the Public Policy advisory committee, to play a leading role in the continued development of the Public Policy major. The candidate will also advise major and undecided students and have the opportunity to teach in the First Year Seminar program. Faculty at Gettysburg College teach a 3-2 course load.

Qualifications: 
The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. in Public Policy or a related field with a policy emphasis, be committed to teaching in the liberal arts tradition, and show potential for scholarly engagement. Candidates should be able to show demonstrated excellence in teaching. Although the specific policy area is open, the ideal candidate’s area of expertise will complement existing majors or departments offered at the College. We strongly encourage candidates who can demonstrate through their teaching, scholarship, or governance that they can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our community.
