RESEARCH SPECIALIST A
Duties: We seek a full time Research Specialist A to join our interdisciplinary group to work on research related to epigenetics and 3D genome organization. Their primary responsibility will be conducting goal-oriented experiments. Additional responsibilities include laboratory upkeep (making solutions, assist in the care and maintenance of cell culture lines, cell transfection, preparing DNA and protein samples, running PCR and Western reactions, and general laboratory maintenance).
Experiments will be designed by the Principal Investigator or senior lab personnel, but the Research Specialist A is expected to modify/troubleshoot procedures, assist in planning the protocol, and report progress to the PI. The Research Specialist A will also keep accurate notebooks, perform data analysis and assist in publication preparation.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 0 to 1 year of experience in molecular biology and cellular biology or equivalent of education and experience required. Prior experience with cell culture, DNA/Protein purification, and molecular cloning preferred.
