Equilar is looking for a manual Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Engineering team! This person will work closely with Product Managers and Software Engineers in a scrum environment.
• Determine root cause of issues, report bugs, and suggest enhancements.
• Write detailed test cases.
• Develop deep product and domain knowledge around our data platform.
• Focus on back end testing, at both the Java and web service level.
• Client support.
• Deliver work on time to meet release deadlines.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Quality Engineers at Equilar become product experts and are heavily involved in building products from the ground up. We are looking for someone that will understand both high-level and small details of a product and be able to find short and long term fixes for problems that arise. The ideal candidate must adapt to frequent shifts in areas of focus and have experience working in a fast pace environment.
• 3+ years of QA experience.
• B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• Solid understanding of core Java and reading/understanding Java code.
• Experience writing advanced SQL queries.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with testing of RESTful web services, business logic and complex workflow systems.
• Experience working with tools like Jenkins, Git, Chef, Maven, Jira is a plus.
