Position requires a minimum of 5 years in higher education admissions and recruiting. Proven expertise in administrative systems, experience in developing and managing staff and teams, and proficiency in data and analytical skills required.

We are seeking a candidate with excellent leadership experience who can demonstrate initiative and independence, possesses excellent organization and management skills, excellent teamwork skills, and the ability to work with and influence others in a cross-functional team environment.

Candidate must have professional demeanor, including integrity, honesty, and discretion and have the ability to work effectively and gain the respect of administrators, faculty, staff, students and prospective students. Candidate must also possess strong technical skills, including but not limited to database, financial/budgeting, and presentation software. In addition, the candidate must have the ability to be an effective spokesperson for the Undergraduate BBA Program and the Wisconsin School of Business, to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to travel for recruiting events and conferences.

A successful candidate should possess the ability to provide outreach to a variety of audiences, including junior and senior high school students, undergraduates and non-traditional prospective students interested in the Wisconsin School of Business.

The candidate must demonstrate a keen interest in the identification and recruitment of a diverse and exceptionally talented student body. A successful candidate will also need to demonstrate a commitment to the Wisconsin School of Business and the student body.

Position Summary:

The Director of Admissions and Recruitment reports to the Assistant Dean of the Undergraduate BBA Program.This position will lead recruitment and admissions processes for the Wisconsin School of Business Undergraduate program including the Bachelor of Business Administration degree and Certificate in Business. The key areas managed and deployed by the Admissions unit are: enrollment management, assessing recruitment strategies and plans, hosting specialized recruiting events, creating and executing recruiting campaigns, and marketing/promotion.

The position will coordinate and implement a recruitment plan including travel, marketing materials, communications and prospective student/parent visits. This position will implement the admissions process and help manage the Wisconsin School of Business undergraduate enrollment. In collaboration with other Undergraduate Business units, this position will be involved in the awarding and administering scholarships for undergraduate students.

This position requires collaboration with colleagues in the UW-Madison Office of Admissions and other offices within the Wisconsin School of Business, working closely with the undergraduate program staff on specific projects, interacting effectively with the faculty, establishing and maintaining positive relationships across campus, managing the admissions team and student workers, and performing other administrative duties.
