Summary of Job Duties

The Research Development Support Specialist is responsible for coordination with and facilitation of the University of Arkansas (UA) faculty on the development of research proposal opportunities, with special emphasis on larger proposals (>$1m) and complex proposals. This includes: identification of proposal opportunities from public and private entities; the identification and coordination of vibrant teams of investigators and stakeholders; facilitation of the proposal preparation process, including review, editing and coordination with RSSP personnel for final submission of the proposals; and grant writing workshops/training.

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Minimum two years grant writing experience
  • Demonstrated record of developing successful grant proposals to both governmental agencies and private foundations

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Minimum of five years of grant writing experience
