FSU Alumni Association
Incumbent is responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of Student Alumni Association and Young Alumni programming and will develop and implement programs and events that enhance the Student Alumni Association. Incumbent serves as an advisor for the Student Alumni Association and manages and advises the Student Alumni Association Executive Board. Incumbent will also manage multiple budgets and fund codes as it pertains to Student Alumni Association.
Incumbent is responsible for the development of new alumni programs and adds value to existing programs such as career networking, seminars, young alumni activities, student receptions, and other special events. Provides guidance with the structuring of program procedures, policies and standards designed to assist students and young alumni when conducting and evaluating programs. Manages student volunteers for Alumni Association and University events. Sits on the University Homecoming Committee and is responsible for the Homecoming Parade and Chief & Princess elections.
Incumbent will support marketing and promotional efforts for membership, special events, alumni outreach programs, constituency groups, reunions and homecoming and will collaborate on web-based promotions and state of the art electronic messaging for an array of alumni programs and activities. Contributes to the preparation of reports as necessary.
A Bachelor's degree and two years' experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.
Minimum of one year experience in conference planning, event management, membership relations or association membership programming.
Experience with MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and electronic messaging.
Budget development and management skills.
Ability to balance competing priorities, complex situations and tight deadlines.
Superior written and verbal communications and track record of creative thinking; a service oriented approach and the ability to work with a diverse population of team members and constituents.
Ability to identify, assemble and guide volunteers and have a willingness to work collaboratively as a member of the Association and participate enthusiastically in the life of the University.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend hours. Proof of a valid Florida or Georgia driver's license or ability to obtain.
Experience with new product or program development, public relations or marketing desirable.

If not otherwise specified, schedule is M-F, 8-5. Must be willing to work some evening/weekend hours.
