Delaware County Community College, a competency-based institution, committed to diversity invites applications for the Vice President for Enrollment Management in our Enrollment Management department.

The Vice President for Enrollment Management reports to the President, and collaborates with other members of the Senior Management Team to accomplish the College’s strategic priorities.  This individual provides leadership on policies and procedures relevant to the recruitment and retention of students, creating a culture of shared ownership of enrollment management that optimizes students’ experience from initial point of contact through goal completion.

The VP of Enrollment Management provides oversight of the following student services units:  Admissions & Enrollment Services and Registrar, Contact Center, Dual Enrollment & High School Initiatives, Financial Aid, Integrated Enrollment Services, International Student Services and Recruitment, New Choices/New Options Career Re-entry Programs, Student Workforce Employment Services, and the Workforce Entry Center housing one of the County’s two PA CareerLink sites.  In addition, the Vice President directs the efforts of the division’s Programmer Analyst to provide reporting capacities that support data collection and analysis to drive decisions and priorities, and support data needs of other areas of the College.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO): 

Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic enrollment plan that leverages the College’s resources to attract and retain target populations within our service area and beyond, including in international markets;
Provide ongoing enrollment data and analysis to Senior Management and other College leaders to support their ability to make modifications, adjustments or corrective actions to mitigate against unforeseen outcomes;
Remain current of market forces, demographic changes and trends and other factors that might impact the College’s efforts; in collaboration with Senior Management and other campus leaders, assess the opportunities and challenges these present and develop strategies to address them;
Work closely with the Provost, Academic Deans, faculty and other campus leaders to develop effective strategies to meet enrollment and programmatic goals;
Create a culture within the division that supports data-informed decision-making, innovation and a team-shared results orientation;
Develop and enhance collaborative relationships across the College that facilitate a shared ownership and understanding of enrollment management;
Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with secondary schools and districts, four-year higher educational institutions, community based organizations, and business and industry leaders to meet evolving education and training needs and grow enrollments from high school dual enrollment opportunities through certificate, associate degree and baccalaureate pathways;
Serve as a key member of the College’s Marketing and Web teams to ensure promotional efforts align with the College’s enrollment goals and priorities;
Proactively communicate with external and internal stakeholders, providing pertinent messaging that clarifies, instructs and informs those who support student success, both directly and indirectly;
Continually advocate for improved financial aid awareness and participation, along with ease of process navigation through self-serve technology as well staff guided assistance;
Provide oversight to the administration of veteran’s certification and benefits and the collaboration with Campus Life to deliver veterans programming;
Support and enhance Work-Study, internship and co-op opportunities to increase College-wide awareness of their positive impact on student retention and completion;
In concert with the Executive Director of Integrated Enrollment Services, continually assess student feedback to ensure ongoing improvement in the one-stop service experience;
Oversee the College’s annual scholarship application and selection process, effectively using available funding to support recruitment and retention goals;
Leverage the Workforce Entry Center and New Choices/New Options Career Re-entry program to serve as portals for adult learners;
Participate in Delaware County Workforce Development Board meetings;
Serve as a member of the Delaware County PA CareerLink Operators Consortium;
Represent the College at external functions such as Chamber events, such as expos and symposia;
Continually assess the effectiveness of programs and services delivered by team units to facilitate nimble and data-informed adjustments;
Motivate and develop staff, fostering teamwork and effective change management; provide frequent feedback to unit managers to build morale and/or make needed adjustments in a timely manner.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Master’s degree in related field required;
Demonstrated progressive leadership experience in a higher educational setting that includes enrollment planning and management, strategic planning, and a commitment to data-informed decision-making; and
Experience with budget development and oversight.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a variety of both internal and external stakeholders;
Knowledge of and appreciation for the mission of a comprehensive community college;
Awareness of current trends and challenges in higher education, especially among community colleges;
Possession of a comfort level that supports innovation and managed risk-taking;
Demonstrated ability to manage and develop staff effectively;
Ability to manage the Division’s budget to support the strategic direction of the College and growth opportunities by nimbly reallocating and leveraging resources with and among units;
Experience with strategic use of technology to enhance student service delivery;
Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills;
