We're seeking a full-time clinical research coordinator for an NIH (NIDDK) R01-funded trial of a digital weight loss treatment for adults.

The 4-year trial will enroll more than 400 individuals with obesity and expose them to a completely digital intervention developed at the Duke Digital Health Science Center (Duke Digital Health).

This position will require knowledge and experience in intervention design, participant recruitment, retention, and research assistant supervision.

The position requires excellent communication skills and comfort with digital health technologies.

The clinical research coordinator will be based at Duke University and some local travel may be required.

The position will be fully funded for a four-year term (ending January 2021).

DUTIES

• In collaboration with PI and other investigators, develop study intervention technologies.

• Architect and implement a plan to achieve high rates of participant recruitment and retention.

• Oversee implementation of the intervention.

• Train and supervise research assistant staff.

• Ensure the standardized implementation of intervention protocols.

• Develop data collection and process tracking instruments.

• Assist PI and Co-Is to manage the project's budget.

• Work with the investigator team on manuscript preparation.

• Maintain required project documentation.

• Perform other duties as needed.

Education

1.Completion of a Bachelor's degree 2.Completion of an Associates degree plus a minimum of two years relevant experience (e.g., research, clinical, interaction with study population, program coordination).

PREFERENCES:

• Masters or Ph.D. in psychology, public health, health education, nutrition or a related field.

• 1-3 years related experience in a research or clinical setting.
Priority will be given to those with intervention research experience.

• Knowledge and/or experience in diet/nutrition, weight loss, and/or physical activity is a plus.

• Must be detail-oriented, extremely organized, and willing to work with tight timelines and high expectations.

• Comfort with digital health technologies.

• Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working with participants from sociodemographically-diverse backgrounds
