Duties: Patient care and husbandry - feeding, grooming, placing standing wraps, patient handling and restraint for procedures, including radiology and ultrasound, admitting and discharging patients, cleaning and stocking treatment areas, helping to maintain the hospital and clean as necessary, helping to maintain the equipment used in the hospital, and any other duties as requested by a nurse or veterinarian.

Position located in Kennett Sq., No public transportation available.

Qualifications: HS diploma and at least 1 year of experience in either caring for horses in a stable, barn (even if they are your own), or veterinary hospital or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Must be comfortable handling all types of horses, including stallions, racehorses, and foals. Able to work independently and to communicate well with colleagues.
Previous veterinary experience and experience with other large animal species such as cows, sheep, goats, and camelid species preferred.

Day shift for an average of 5 days a week, including at least two weekends a month.
