Job Summary/Basic Function: The College of Arts and Sciences seeks applications from qualified candidates for a full-time temporary non-tenure track chemistry lecturer position, specializing in general chemistry. Duration of the position is fall 2017 and spring 2018. The College seeks excellence in instruction. Summer 2018 teaching assignments may be available but are not guaranteed.
Work Hours: Flexible to suit course schedule. Teaching assignments may include day, night, or weekend classes.

Necessary Qualifications: A Master's degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Biochemistry or Chemistry.
Preferred Qualifications: A Ph.D. degree Biochemistry or Chemistry, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
Necessary Qualifications: A minimum of one year college or university teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Willingness to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Broad training in chemistry and experience teaching all levels of an undergraduate chemistry curriculum.
Familiarity with the needs of a non-traditional, first-generation, culturally diverse student body.
Familiarity with high-impact educational practices such as cooperative education, service learning, and undergraduate research.
Experience with contemporary instructional technologies such as learning management systems and e-portfolios.
