Duties: The Kim Program Academic Coordinator in collaboration with the Program Director and Associate Director is responsible for planning and implementing global and Korea-specific academic programs for Penn and non-Penn communities about Korean Studies.

Duties include:
^Coordinate educational activities for Penn and non-Penn Korean Affiliates
^Develop, write and present lectures and presentations to community groups as part of Kim Program's expanding outreach effort.
^Organize Kim Program conferences and speakers series.
^Promote education about Korea as part of the Kim Programs expanding outreach efforts
^Mentor and advise Kim Program undergraduate fellows
^Develop and maintain Kim Program's online resources for undergraduate and graduate students
^Conduct research for Korean program and program related projects.
^Provide academic support for Moon family Post-doctoral Fellows and visiting scholars
^Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and one year of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, is required., PhD and 2 years to 3 years of experience are strongly preferred. Ideal candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills in English and full proficiency in written and spoken Korean language as well as experience living or traveling in Korea. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are a necessity. Experience mentoring undergraduate and graduate students required. Experience developing and fostering student growth required. Familiarly or experience working in Korean Studies Programs at a University level. Ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of scholarly resources across the University that are available for both students and department faculty. An in depth understanding of SAS's academic and curriculum planning are preferred. Experience lecturing in Korean and English at the University level preferred
