Duties: Proactively provides secretarial and administrative support to the Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff, the Senior Vice President for Institutional Affairs, and to other President's Office staff members as directed. Coordinates and maintains calendars, including scheduling appointments and meetings, making meeting arrangements, and arranging travel. Drafts and proofreads routine correspondence and minutes. Provides general office support, including greeting and directing visitors, answering phones, and routing or responding to requests. Provides back-up support to other senior administrative support staff as needed. Performs other duties as needed or assigned.
Qualifications: Associates Degree or Two Year College equivalent is required, bachelor's degree preferred. 3 years to 5 years of progressively responsible administrative experience required with a preference for previous experience in a college or university setting or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong customer service orientation. Demonstrated ability to effectively set priorities, handle multiple assignments and tasks simultaneously, understand importance of strict confidentiality requirements, be flexible, and work productively within deadlines and under pressure. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence and making ongoing operational enhancements to improve office efficiency and effectiveness. Requires strong computing skills in all areas of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
