Director, University Success Center & First Year Experience
This position is responsible for administrative direction, vision, and innovation for academic support, first year experience, and student success on campus. The director provides leadership and supervision of professional staff. The director is responsible for the successful function of testing, tutoring, writing, math, supplemental instruction, and academic support programs for students including the responsibility for daily functions of academic support areas. The director develops and leads: student success, new program initiatives, and retention initiatives for first-year and second-year students, transfers, and coordinates the early warning system.
Minimum qualifications include: Completion of master’s degree in higher education, student services, instructional administration, education, or counseling is required; Completion of a Ph.D. in a related field is preferred; Five years of experience in advising, support services, and retention in higher education setting is required; Three years of supervisory experience is required; Three years of experience with early warning systems is required; Banner, Argos (ODS), DegreeWorks experience preferred.
