Position Summary:

To provide financial aid counseling to students and parents; to coordinate the day to day operations of the North Carolina State Grant program. Serve as a Campus Security Authority for the Clergy Act.


  • Counsel and advise students and parents relative to Financial Aid.
  • Coordinate and administer all activities of the North Carolina Grant programs.
  • Reconcile with the Business Office and NCEAA all state awards.
  • Assist with reviewing of ISIRs and awarding of financial aid.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of federal and state regulations.
  • Reporting as required and other duties as assigned by the Director or Assistant Director.
  • Must report immediately to the Campus Police Department any crime information, witnessed or ascertained.
  • Must report all Clery Act crimes.








  • Bachelor’s degree required; two years of Financial Aid experience, ability to interpret rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Effective verbal and written and communication skills, strong computer and automation skills and the ability to relate to a diverse population.
  • Completion of FSA Coach, Beginner & Immediate modules with first 90 days of employment. Present to Director certification of completion.



Physical Requirements:



Position requires walking and able to lift 25 pounds.
