The University of Illinois' Office of Business and Financial Services - University Payables seeks a Business and Financial Specialist (Business/Administrative Associate) to analyze, document, and monitor relevant accounts payable, procurement/travel card, and travel management processes and data. This position also provides technical, functional, and project management oversight and support for all sections within UPAY, including Card Services, Travel Management, Vendor Maintenance, Payment Operations, Travel and Expense Management (TEM) system, Accounting, and Customer Service.
1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, management or a field related to the position
2. Two years of professional level accounting, managerial and/or business experience, one year of which was at an administrative level
3. Additional education, training and/or work experience in the area of specialization inherent to the position may be required
1. Certified Accounts Payable Associate (CAPA) certification from the Institute of Financial Operations or equivalent.
2. Experience with financial systems and reporting databases including Microsoft Access database development, management and reporting. Experience with Oracle databases and SQL query and reporting.
3. Experience acquired in a higher education environment, preferably the University of Illinois.

Exam Scoring Information:
You will not be required to report in person for this exam. The updated online application and all uploaded, relevant documents, such as a resume, college transcripts, and/or staff development course listings, will be used in the calculation of the exam score. These documents should be uploaded prior to submitting your exam request.
For this Credential Assessment exam, please remember to include all relevant work experience typically including including coordinating and managing the business/financial and/or administrative operations of a unit.
