The University of Illinois' Office of Business and Financial Services seeks a Financial Accounting and Reporting Analyst (Accounting Associate) to assist the Senior Business and Financial Coordinator in the establishment and administration of procedures for university accounting processes, providing technical and administrative support of advanced accounting functions related to gift, endowment income, self-supporting, service plan, and agency funds. This position will also provide oversight to ensure University compliance with various university, state, and federal policies and guidelines. The analyst will be responsible for the completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and audit schedules; providing quality customer service/support to University units at all University locations related to OBFS policy, the operation of Banner Finance, and related systems.
Minimum Qualifications (with Specialty Factor):
1. (A) Bachelor's degree with a major in Accountancy or a related field AND two (2) years of professional level accounting experience.
(B) Possession of a current registration as a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, or a valid License to practice Public Accounting.
(C) Master's degree in Accountancy or a related field.
2. Additional education, training, and/or work experience in an area of specialization inherent to the position may be required.

2. Proficient in database, query and reporting tools, such as Microsoft Access.
3. Ability to apply generally accepted accounting principles in a public University setting within the State of Illinois to ensure compliance with the various State of Illinois policies, guidelines, and regulations.

You will not be required to report in person for this exam.
