This position, housed in Jackson, KY, plays a critical role in the University level strategic plan objective 3 Undergraduate Student Success. The Robinson Scholars Program serves 29 Eastern Kentucky counties through a scholarship opportunity for First Generation students. With approximately ¼ to 1/3 of the undergraduate student body being comprised of First Generation students, this position is critical in recruiting students from the region, providing pre-college advising, and conducting college preparatory plus financial aid programming to students in the region. Services provided by this position are critical to aid in successful matriculation of First Generation students to the University of Kentucky.
