The Center for Anatomical Sciences at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Willed-body Program Manager to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:* Manages the Willed-body Program for the Center for Anatomical Sciences.* Meets with donor's families after death of a donor, prepares death certificate information, handles paperwork, letters, and correspondences with donors and donor's families.* Oversees cadaver preparation and assures availability and preservation of cadaveric specimens for all Center activities.* Keep accurate records and inventory of all cadavers and specimens, making special note of those cadavers used for long-term teaching (prosections). * Oversees cadaver cremation process and ensures timely and respectful return of cremated remains to donor families. * Prepares reports for Anatomical Board of the State of Texas and assures that UNT Health Science Center is compliant with the rules and regulations the board, including OSHA, State, and institutional regulations. * Exhibits outstanding organizational skills to assure accurate and timely filing of vital state and health science center Willed-body Program documents.BioSkills Lab Responsibilities* Assists with coordination of BioSkills laboratory activities, including oral and written correspondence with 3rd party contractors and clinicians, oversight and related financial transactions and records, and proper use of the BioSkills facility and instrumentation during all activities.* Oversees the removal of special organs and tissues for activities in the BioSkills Laboratory.* Works with clinical faculty and staff during BioSkills activities to monitor cadaver quality.Other Lab Management Responsibilities* Insures the human anatomy facilities are kept clean and are fully supplied at all times.* Supervises and manages hourly and/or salaried laboratory help, including student workers and Anatomy Laboratory Coordinator. * Prepares laboratory facility for TCOM, PA/PT, Med Science and TCU classes, and organizes laboratory configuration for practical exam setup based on needs of each specific program. * Coordinates purchasing of all necessary laboratory equipment, utensils, and supplies as needed.* Ensures proper use of all chemicals in laboratory facilities, including the preparation of embalming and wetting fluids.The University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices.
