Job Description:

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida announces its search for the Chief of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. This position is a full-time, open rank, non-tenure or tenure track faculty position. Duties will include providing oversight and directorship of child services, providing inpatient and outpatient services, as well as promoting the clinical and educational mission of the Division. The successful candidate will take the leadership role to develop innovative service models in collaboration with pediatrics, and to expand contracts with community mental health agencies and relevant State agencies (e.g., Department of Children and Families and Department of Juvenile Justice). This position will have a critical role in teaching students, residents, fellows, and supervising psychiatry residents with child and adolescent cases, evaluating and treating their own patients on the inpatient service and outpatient clinics.

Minimum Requirements:

Candidate must be Board Certified M.D. in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and completion of a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship is required. Ability to obtain a state of Florida license.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated record of clinical excellence and teaching interest in an academic medical center.
