Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment Management, Marketing and Recruitment, the Assistant Vice President (AVP) for Enrollment Management has overall responsibility for the enrollment strategies that align with and supports the vision and ambitious goals at both the undergraduate and graduate professional level. The Assistant Vice President will have oversight of enrollment management units including Enrollment Services, Enrollment Operations and Technology, and Enrollment Coaching. The primary focus for this role is to scale the experience related to new student enrollment process, which includes managing the learner journey for prospective students through new student registration. The AVP of Enrollment Management is expected to work effectively in a matrix organization, partnering closely with colleagues in Marketing & Recruitment, Finance, Data & Analysis, Regional Deans and CEOs, Enrollment Management Contact Center, and Experiential and Online Learning.

The key responsibilities of the position include:

  • Serve as a key member of Vice President's senior team by providing enrollment and retention strategies to scale professional undergraduate and graduate programs against aggressive multi-year enrollment goals
  • Provide strategic and operational oversight for the student enrollment experience through analyzing and evaluating data to ensure annual enrollment goals are being met.
  • Provide oversight on enrollment goal setting, partnering with Finance and Academic Leadership and Data Analysis teams to identify market opportunities for existing program suite as well as new program opportunities
  • Collaboration with Northeastern's regional teams to maximize enrollment technologies and strategies that can be leveraged by regional enrollment teams which are expected to be deploy connected yet independent in their execution within region
  • Manage and provide leadership to direct reports in the following key functional areas: Enrollment Services, Enrollment Operations and Technology, and Enrollment Coaching
  • Oversee relationships with external partners and vendors, including setting KPIs and managing results towards expected goals
  • Collaborate closely with the AVP of Enrollment Marketing and Recruitment, Director of Marketing Operations and Technology, AVP OF Digital Experience and Academic Leadership across all Colleges to ensure strategies are comprehensive and integrated to meet goals
  • Ensure that the College is in compliance with federal and state regulations with respect to enrollment practices and the awarding of financial aid.
  • Partner with colleagues in Learner Services, Advising and Career Coaching to develop retention driving strategies to improve current student experience to ensure annual student enrollment goals are met


    Master’s Degree required; doctorate degree preferred. At least 10-15 years working in a professional position at an institution of higher education, preferably in an enrollment management, sales/coaching, admissions, or similar office. Must have at least 7-10 years supervisory experience; preferably experience with leading teams from various units. Must be able to think critically and provide strategic guidance on enrollment and retention-related matters. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. Must have the ability to multi-task, organized, and work independently within a matrix organization. Must have a high level of customer service skills and attention to detail. Expected to have strong and collaborative approach to managing relationships within complex environments. Occasional travel required.
