National High Magnetic Field Laboratory (NHMFL)
Position is responsible for assisting with the development of web and database applications and programming. Programming in C++, Java Script, ASP, ASP.NET and SQL in support of continual development of database website administration. Modify and maintain custom developed applications based on user needs and hardware characteristics. Assist team development of web and database applications involving front-end and back-end database modifications. Communicate with users of the web system to determine their needs and assist with problem resolution. Analyze specific programs and with assistance from supervisor develop plans for implementation. Take an active role in process improvements including unit testing, systems testing and systems health. Work with software leads and other technical leads on developing estimates, implementation and test plans.
High school diploma/equivalency and four years of programming experience or a combination of related post high school education and programming experience equal to four years. Experience with Microsoft web technologies, C++, Java Script, ASP, ASP.NET and SQL. Experience with general web standards, e.g. HTML, CSS, etc. Ability to learn and adapt to changing technological needs. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Working knowledge of and/or training in Microsoft SharePoint. Experience working on long-term projects.
